People for Human Rights Council (PHRC)

People for Human Rights Council PHRC (NGO) is regularly promoting Human Rights literacy and awareness in the society by targeting the rural and backward areas of the country. Human rights and legal rights literacy and awareness is one of the main missions of (PHRC) with the help of the  National Human Rights Commission New Delhi and State Human Rights Commissions. PHRC  is working under the Protection of Human Rights Act 1993. This organization is always ready to take legal action and  raise voice against the human rights violation and corruption prevailing in the state agencies, police and society with the help of the National Human Rights Commission and State Human Rights Commissions by filing the complaints Under Section 12 read with section  2 (d) sections  13(1) and 17(2) of Protection of Human Rights Act 1993.

The effort of the PHRC always appreciated by the Hon`ble Human Rights Commissions by endeavoring to spread human Right education at both levels as school and university levels. Pursuant to Commission’s efforts, the UGC introduced human rights education at the university level, which is now being imparted in over 35 Universities/Colleges across the country, besides in the National Law Schools.  

It is said that the awareness of human rights is largely limited to the educated sections of society, while ideally, it is necessary to create awareness about human rights at all levels. There has been a growing realization that human rights cannot be taught only from formal documents but it is a process of life where every time we learn something for the betterment of the life .knowledge of human rights

Promoting Human Rights literacy and awareness is one of the main missions of our organization with the help of State Human Rights Commissions and the National Human Rights Commission of India. by working under the Protection of Human Rights Act 1993. According to this Act The National Human Rights Commission as per section 12(h) of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. The Commission has been serving this encompassing purpose within its best means.

 Children are the future of the nation if we want a strong nation we have to save the rights of the children protection of children rights are necessary to develop the children mentally, physically and politically, for full development as human beings, exercise and enjoyment of Human Rights by all the people is necessary.       

“PEOPLE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS” was to reach the people who are oppressed and deprived of their basic human rights and to reach out to the masses and educate them. We are independent of any government, political ideology, and economic interest. We operate to increase the impact of Human Rights and take action against any violation of Human Rights.  We focus on providing relief /solution to those people whose human rights are violated
